Alright so here it is, hardly what i would call "beta testing", but it works.
I used the tutorial from IndyMogul (backyard FX) on how to do the hand gun cannon thing. it was really easy to translate over to this.
its missing a few things before i can get even close to being finished, i just tossed it together to show off on youtube while i still had some time.

this is the lighting pattern that will be used in "ears" my Daft punk helmet. its a basic fade/blink using the arduino.
if you havent noticed, the "ear" that the lights are in is just a paper model, and that specific one is not used in my helmet. i already have the other pair of "ears" bondo'd on my model.

This is a knex rifle/pistol i made as a product of my boredom. it works great. whenever i have multiple rubber bands on it it shoots extremely far, but of course ive broke about 20 rubber bands on this thing in less than a week. enjoy.

That pin, depending wether or not the cartridge is a rimfire or centerfire, the firing pin will either strike the middle, or around the sides. Striking the middle creates a little spark in the primer, igniting the gun powder, and BAM, there goes the bullet.
