A great one, he is, no doubt; and extremely impressive physically. The track record was set by 'Star of the Realm' in 1991 in a time of 2:33.60. The record in America for the 1 1/2 mile distance is 2:22 4/5 seconds. Phar Lap won that race in 1929 in a time worse than 2:33.60. Cont.

He was fit enough to run. A lot was riding on Phar Lap racing. He was the biggest drawcard. His hoof having held is what made his win appear effortless.

Just by watching this race you have to think that it was a huge win, he missed the start, ran wide and had to sprint twice and thats not too mention that normally a horse wouldnt run with the injury that he had and the miles travelled to race..At home here in Australia Phar Lap won 4 races at our major carnival in the space of 7 days with the melbourne cup amongst these 4 races. CHAMPION yes !

Yes, it's my problem, i prefer more complicated music. But she always has a beautiful voice and sensibility, that's what i love this song. Ballads suit her very well.
